5 Ways to Have a Spooktacularly Safe Halloween!

Posted by Shaye Sicurella on 15 Oct 2020

Need some ideas for Trick or Treating this year? We compiled a list of our top 5 ways to have a spooktacularly safe Halloween!

1) Use a Halloween themed candy grabber

We have all seen those little novelty claw grabbers! Use a halloween themed one to limit how many hands touch the Halloween treat!

2) Host a Trunk or Treat for your neighborhood

Many communities are opting for the Trunk or Treat option to limit exposure from a large amount of people! Just pack up your trunk with candy and decorate your car for the spooky event!

3) Create a no-contact candy pick up (candy chute)

One no-contact way Halloween extraordinaires have invented is a candy chute. You can read about the innovative Halloween invention here!

4) Create a spooky Halloween face mask to be used when knocking on doors

If you do choose to go the door to door route, you can create a face mask to go along with your costume or to hand out candy! Websites like Amazon and Etsy offer holiday themed masks or you can look for iron on patches for your cloth masks!

5) Host a Zoom party

Hosting a Zoom costume party or a Zoom pumpkin carving contest is a great way to social distance while also celebrating the spooky season! As a community you can share scary stories, watch a movie together using Teleparty, or strut your stuff to a good Halloween themed song (I Put a Spell on You from Hocus Pocus anyone?)

Happy haunting! Need something to haul the candy around or sort candy afterwards? Check out our options on simplay3.com
