Ditch the traditional egg dying tablets this season and tap into your creative side with these 5 easy and unique ways to create beautiful Easter eggs with your kids.
Permanent Marker Eggs
With these eggs all you need is your traditional hard boiled eggs and a permanent marker of your choice. When creating these eggs you want to make sure your eggs aren’t too wet or cold as the marker won’t stay, so dab off your eggs and get creative! From faces to designs, the options are endless!
Hand Painted Eggs
Do you have a mini Picasso on your hands? Let them take their love of painting to their Easter eggs. From watercolor to acrylic, there are many different styles you can create with paint. For an added sensory element, use finger paint and let your little one make hand prints and finger designs!
Glitter Eggs
For a braver parent, bring out the glitter! Create sparkly eggs by combining glue and glitter and paint the glitter on or paint your design or the entire egg with glue then dip the egg in glitter. Warning, no matter how hard you try, you will find glitter around the house for WEEKS.
Egg Accessories
If you want to jazz up the normal egg dying method, create some accessories to take your eggs to the next level! Bend wire to give your eggs bunny ears. You can also glue googly eyes and pipe cleaners to create monster/animal eggs. Add a cotton ball to the back of your egg and boom, minimalist bunny egg.
Natural Eggs
For a fresh and natural take on egg dying, create your own egg dye with food/plant based ingredients. Simmer blueberries, beets, or other natural ingredients in a cup of water with a splash of vinegar to create your colors. For the richest results, let your eggs soak in the dye overnight in the refrigerator!
