5 Kid-Approved Surprises to Hide in Easter Eggs (FREE PRINTABLES)
Posted by Jess Goodwin on 31 Mar 2023
It is the Easter season, which means the shelves are stocked with limited edition pastel colored candies and chocolates in stores. Instead of going candy crazy, why not spring for some non-traditional low to no-cost surprises to hop their way into this years Easter eggs!
1. A Puzzle
Place a piece of a fun, age appropriate puzzle into each egg for the child to find. Do this with more than one puzzle to double or triple the shock when the surprise is revealed. For multiple siblings, assign each child specific colored eggs to look for or a special symbol to differentiate the eggs.
2. Play Building Bricks
Take different size and color bricks and place them in separate eggs. Even purchase a set that will make a fun sculpture once they are put together. The hardest egg to find could hold the instructions.
3. Stickers
Who doesn't love stickers? Find stickers of that special interest character or Easter themed ones to put in the eggs. A roll of individual stickers or cutting them out of a large sheet will surely do for this fun surprise.
4. Animals
There are buckets of little animals in the toy aisle of many stores. From dinosaurs, to farm animals, to marine creators there are sure to be some to pick up. Most of these are just the right size to place inside an egg for an Easter egg hunt.
5. Coupons
Print off these exclusive coupons to roll up and put in eggs. These free printables feature pre-filled rewards as well as blank options ready to be filled-in with all kinds of special treats kids can cash in. These can be combined together for safe keeping with a ribbon. Download for FREE here!
